When the TIG members told us about this project, i was awfully excited. I was thinking we would get to choose our subtopic, I would have chosen peace and conflict. Then a little while later when they came to meet us again I realised we were not aloud to choose, and eventually i realised we were nto allowed to choose partners. I felt as though i was being cheated.
In the end i was assigned with Social Justice & Human Rights, and my partners were Alice and Katherine. I started to question myself, have I ever even talked to them once in this lifetime? the answer to that question was probably no. So i took this opportunity to get to kno them better, actually get them to smile. All they did was mope around all day, but my fooling around did the trick. Although i was not with my friends, and i was not the best partner I enjoyed this project immensily.
Especially when we got to play on the laptops =). Social Justice & Human Rights seemed like an easy topic to work with at first, but I was wrong. Although this project was an easy project to work on, it took an extremely long time to complete. Somewhere in the middle i started having doubts as to whether we'd be able to finish or not and I'm pretty sure others had their doubts as well, but we all pulled together and in the end came up with 10 excelltn films and one great film festival. What i did for my group was basically all the computer stuff, while Alice and Katherine wokred on the language based things and art. I came up with the logo, they worked on the brochure. We did our fair share of work, but i often goofed off.
In conclusion I would like to thank all of TIG, you guys left me inspired, informed, and involved.
